Our new neighbours

Yet another week has gone by in a flash. My sis & bro-in-law stayed with us this week while they were looking at houses in the area. And they bought one that is only 5 minutes away from our house!!! We are VERY excited! They will be moving back here from Alberta in about 6 weeks. We can't wait to have them in our neighbourhood.

Besides that big news there isn't to much new with us. Megan has been standing on her own from time to time, only in short spurts, but it is still one step closer to taking those first steps. She's also into everything....

Her favourite thing at the moment is the dishwasher. The instant the dishwasher is open, she is making her way over to it and climbing up to explore the inside.

Swimming

Julie and I took the kids out swimming today. I've been wanting to do that for awhile, so it was nice to finally get the chance to do it! Megan loves the water, and loves to watch all the people too. Here's a few pics of Megan and Liam in their suits:

Another entry

Well it's been a busy week! Since it's March Break I haven't had Annika all week. Megan has been lonely without her little buddy here! I've been keeping her busy though, getting out here and there. We did some shopping, and yesterday Sarah and I took the kids to the museum of Science and Tech. Megan and Cadie didn't get to much out of it, but Jordan had a blast. It was the cutest when he picked up one of the phones that has a recording playing to tell you about a certain display and he actually thought they were talking to him: "hello? no....no....bye."

After our tour we had lunch at MacDonald's, the perfect spot to take the kids.

Today, Megan & I went out for drinks with my friend Nancy. It was nice to sit and chat for a bit! Then we took her back to work and went in to meet the kids she works with. They were all quite excited to see Megan. My favourite comment was from one little girl " what's Megan's favourite colour? I think it's purple."

In other news, Megan is sprouting a lot of teeth. Soon she will have 8 altogether! And she has started to mimic things we do. The latest is sticking out her tongue. It's pretty darn cute!

Mike started a new position at work. He is now the parts manager, and has been quite busy setting things up and getting organized. It has given him some new challenges and there are some days that it is quite frustrating, but I think over all he is enjoying it.

And I am trying to enjoy my last few months off with Megan. This time is going to go so quick. I think daycare is all lined up though...with Sarah taking Megan 3 days a week, and our moms each doing 1 day a week. I know she will be in great hands! I'm also eagerly awaiting the day of Heather and Jay's (sister-in-law & her hubby) move. They are moving back to Ontario FINALLY!! And they are expecting their first baby in August, so I'm pretty excited about that too!

Well, I guess I will leave you with a few more pics from the last few weeks.....

Megan likes to play with Annika's feet while she is in the highchair

doctor's appointment and wagon rides

Megan had her 9 month check-up yesterday. She is a very healthy little girl! She weighs 22 pounds and is 30 inches long. She was charming everyone in the waiting room.

Not to much else is new. My friend Michelle and her son Alex (he's 6 weeks younger than Megan) came over to visit on Tuesday. It was fun to get the kids together and have some adult conversation during the day too!

Since the weather was so nice today, I managed to get the girls outside for a little while. I put them in the wagon and went around the driveway with them. I think they enjoyed it. Megan was babbling away the whole time.

Anyways, that's the latest.
