9-months-old!

Well our baby girl is growing up!!! She turns 9-month-old today. I know I've said it many times, but time is flying!

Here are some pics of her taken today. I attempted to put her hair in piggy tails for the first time. I don't think I'll be doing that everyday (she's very squirmy) but it's fun once in awhile!

Another Megan Moment..

Megan is growing up so fast! Not only has she started crawling, but on Friday she started pulling herself up on things too. Whether it's the couch, coffee table, banister or anything else within reach, she's pulling herself to her feet and then usually bops up and down because she is so proud! As quickly as she's growing though, it's still nice to have those baby moments. Today she woke up from her nap crying, so I got her up and gave her a bottle. Then we curled up on the couch together and once she finished the bottle she fell fast asleep. We stayed that way for quite sometime...I'm trying to savour all the cuddles I can get because I know eventually she won't be interested in cuddling quite so much!

Saturday

So I'm going to attempt another post. I would have done so sooner, but our computer decided to die on us, and Mike didn't have time to look at it until today. It is quite annoying when technology fails!!!

Not much new to report. It snowed quite a bit over the last few days, and since it is Saturday Mike finally has a chance to blow out the driveway. He's out there right now actually, while I'm nice and warm inside. Hmmm...should I feel guilty??

We decided to rent a movie last night since we were both kinda tired. We rented "The Inside Man" - not a bad movie, although I will admit that I fell asleep briefly. Not because the movie was boring, it's just a bad habit of mine!

I hear Megan waking up from her nap so I guess I'll wrap this up. I'll post some more pics whenever we get all the computer problems fixed.

Entering the World of Blogging

Well, I've been reading a few blogs of friends for quite some time now, and figured I'd give it a try myself. I don't know if this will last or not, but I'll give it a shot!

I'm not so sure how to start, so I guess I'll just dive right in.....

For the last 8 and a half months or so I've been on mat leave. Megan was born on May 26,2006...and our world hasn't been the same since.

I never could have imagined loving this little person so much. Mike and I feel very blessed to have this beautiful, little girl in our lives.

She is growing up so quickly...every day she learns something new, and is constantly discovering things. She started crawling at the beginning of February, and has become quite independent. Yesterday I gave her a cookie for the first time, and she absolutely loved it!!!

So my days are filled with caring for Megan, and in January I started babysitting my cousin's little girl Annika. Megan loves having a little friend to play with, although she can sometimes be a pest. Today, Annika was sitting in the booster seat having lunch, and Megan decided it would be fun to play with her feet. Annika would kick her feet to get away from Megan, but the movement only seemed to attract Megan more! I finally got her interested in something else so that Annika could enjoy the rest of her lunch in peace! Quite the little monkey sometimes!

Anyways, I'm going to end this post here, I think. The girls should be up from their nap soon.
